Halal-style meals
- We record no-pork, no-alcohol, vegetarian and allergy requirements in writing.
- We identify the named meal arrangements available on your route.
- Formal halal certification is never assumed unless the named supplier confirms it.
- We explain where Altay, Kanas and Hemu menus may be more limited.
Prayer facilities and timing
- Airports, hotels and larger cities generally offer the most reliable facilities.
- We place breaks around meals, hotel check-ins and realistic driving time.
- For remote mountain stops, bring a prayer mat and confirm the day’s plan with your driver.
- Winter daylight and road controls can change exact prayer-stop timing.
Flights from Kuala Lumpur
A current Kuala Lumpur–Urumqi service may be used when operating. Other common connections are through Guangzhou, Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai or Xi’an. The Urumqi–Altay sector may use a domestic flight or rail service confirmed for your date. Airline schedules change, so flights and the domestic sector are quoted only after your dates are confirmed.
Families and winter limits
Share each child’s age and any mobility or health needs. The route uses mountain roads with winter controls. Infants, pregnant travellers and guests aged 75 or older are not accepted; guests aged 70–74 require a health declaration and an accompanying adult under 60.
Important“Muslim-friendly” means the requested arrangements are planned and checked; it does not mean every restaurant or hotel holds a formal certification. Every confirmed requirement is recorded in the final written itinerary.
